Today was a different type of workday for me. My buddy Roi reached out and asked if I could bring my Classic Mini Cooper to Harlem for a Karl Lagerfeld campaign he was working on. The idea of my little car being part of such a high-profile project was exciting, but I was equally nervous about the drive. Living on Long Island, I rarely take the Mini this far from home—and with its right-hand drive setup, the trip was bound to be an adventure.

Driving over the Throgs Neck Bridge was a highlight. The juxtaposition of my tiny car alongside towering tractor-trailers was surreal, almost cinematic. Despite my initial nerves, the Mini and I made it to Harlem on time and in one piece.

The shoot itself was an experience to remember. The production team transformed a corner of NYC into what felt like a slice of Paris. Models Lara Olsson and Marcus Iqbal brought the vibe to life with their effortless style, embodying the elegance and sophistication of the Lagerfeld brand. It was fascinating to watch the creative process unfold—the attention to detail, the coordination, and the artistry involved in every shot.

Although I was there solely to provide the car, I couldn’t resist bringing my camera along. After all, when you’re surrounded by that kind of energy and artistry, it’s impossible not to be inspired. I managed to capture a few behind-the-scenes moments—the interplay of fashion, the city backdrop, and my Mini Cooper tying it all together.

It’s not every day that a classic car gets to star in a campaign, and it’s certainly not every day that I get to be part of something so unique. The day may have started with a bit of apprehension, but it ended with a deep sense of gratitude and excitement. Here’s to more adventures—and more opportunities to see the world through a different lens.
